History and background
Although this would have been a good shelter world from the Empress Wave, with standard atmosphere and good hydographics, misunderstanding caused the population to entirely abandon the world. The small population as of 1105 is a party of scavengers who have been pillaging the infrastructure of this world as well as nearby Priruk, Syuspine, and Kewaerie for decades, selling their finds to the Rho Cluster where the original population evacuated to. Much of their work involves recovering personal effects or records left behind, on commission from the evacuees or their descendants.
World Starport
Gaesya has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Technology Level
Gaesya possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government
Gaesya has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
