This subsector was named Ishaam during the First Imperium. It was changed during the later part of the Second Imperium in recognition of Admiral Marcus Gadde for his role during the Plague of Dushkir in bringing relief supplies and distributing cures.

History and background
Established because of a serious problem with piracy and privateering in this region during the early years of the Imperium, these bases now serve as a marshaling area for naval exercises, and for fleet travelling to or from the Depot.
