I saw the attempt to convert Knoellighz Sector trade map pdf to JPEG. The JPEG looks fine, and is as readable as the PDF, except not at the resolutions shown on the wiki. The scale down done automatically looks terrible.

I do have the nroute code, and am a reasonably proficient programmer. I was working on having the nroute code dump out the data in quadrants (2x2 subsectors) to make the text a little more readable. If we picked a reasonable size, I could have the code dump subsectors and convert those to images.

But not to put poor Rindis out of work, I'd probably want to make the auto-generated maps look more like his. Tjoneslo 14:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

I think that the jpeg gives a good overview of the sector, perhaps the resolution could even be lower and one would still see the lines, however clicking on it should load up the pdf. That way one gets the best of both.
As for 2x2 quadrents, I would suggest generating the subsector maps individually (1x1) and attaching them to the subsectors.
