History & Background (Dossier)

The coreward parts of the sector are considered part of the Blaskon Region of Interest, less ‘pacified’ than the Central Zone and occasionally seeing some unrest on member worlds, though the spinward segments of the Region were settled early in the expansion of the Hive Federation. The mid and rimward parts of the sector were considered part of the Trailing Bulge, bordering the Kolir-Kidunal Sparsity.

Two major Hive Federation member races -- the Gurvin and the Kamuke -- are based in Folgore.

The Hivers encountered the Gurvin early in their period of interstellar expansion. Gurvin culture adapted fairly readily to Hiver cultural standards; though the Gurvin exhibited aggressive behaviour, their aggression had long been channelled into economic pursuits. They are now the primary financiers and traders of the Federation.
