Farsoon is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and barren in nature with no overt population, government, or law level.
- These worldlets would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
- They could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- This dangerous world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions make it dangerous to visitors.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Natar Subsector of Far Home Sector.
Astrography and Planetology
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- The system lies within a "shoal" region called Unstable Space. Travel to the system presents a considerable risk to starships.

System Data
Arvasal-Farsoon System
The primary is Arvasal, a dim red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0025 Sols, a mass of 0.244 Sols, and a diameter of 334,000 km. (I) a very thin atmosphere radworld, (II) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (III) the Farsoon Main Belt, designated the mainworld, (IV) a ringed large gas giant, (V) an exotic atmosphere bigworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
- The star experiences periodic flare activity.
Pross Subsystem
The companion is Pross, a dim red subdwarf star lying approximately 7,460 AU from Arvasal. It has a luminosity of 0.00103 Sols, a mass of 0.081 Sols, and a diameter of 109,000 km. (I) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (II-I) a vacuum iceworld, (II-II) a vacuum iceworld, (III) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (IV) a small gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
- The star experiences occasional flare activity.
Mainworld Data
(III) Farsoon Main Belt
(III) the Farsoon Main Belt orbits within the outer system and is designated the mainworld. It lies at a mean distance of 0.69 AU from Arvasal and is primarily made up of carbonaceous bodies with diameters of less than 80 km. The inner edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of nickel-iron bodies, is considered to lie at around 0.56 AU from the star and the outer edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of icy bodies, is considered to lie at approximately 0.82 AU. The primary body is named Holden, with a mean orbital distance of 0.73 AU around Arvasal and an orbital period of 1 year 96 days. It has a long axis of 230 km, a density of 3.44 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.008 G. It retains no atmosphere and has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -214°C.
Native Lifeforms
Arvasal-Farsoon System
No world in the system is known to have native life.
Pross Subsystem
No world in the subsystem is known to have native life.

World starport
Farsoon has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World technology level
Farsoon possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
World government
Farsoon has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
