An Extinct Species is a lifeform which is no longer with us. It is though to have died out altogether, no longer possessing any live representatives of its species.

• It is contrasted with an Extant Species, which is still alive.

Description (Specifications)

The term Extinct Species and its corollary Extant Species is used to describe the following lifeforms:

• Non-Sophonts or Creatures at TL-Negative
• Proto-Sophonts at TL-0
• Sophonts at TL-1 or higher (...typically capping at TL-33)

History & Background (Dossier)

Such species have reached a state of extinction.
