Esulim is a barren garden world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- It is a garden world with a near-ideal, utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- This world is valuable property, as a garden world, and will likely soon be populated...
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Abidal Subsector of Halcyon Sector.
Astrography and Planetology
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
The Esulim system lies within a "shoal" region called Unstable Space. Travel to the system presents a considerable risk to starships.

System Data
Amulet-Esulim System
The primary, Amulet, is an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.57 Sols, a mass of 0.894 Sols and a diameter of 1.265 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (II) a thin atmosphere hospitable world. (III) Esulim orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (IV) a large gas giant and (V) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the inner part of the outer system. Orbital positions (VI) through (X) are unavailable due to the presence of the companion star. (XI) a sparse icy planetoid belt forms the outer part of the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Minaret Subsystem
The companion, Minaret, is a red subdwarf star that orbits Amulet at 9.8 AU (orbital position (VIII), 1.47 billion km) and has an orbital period of 32 years 163 days. It has a luminosity of 0.0056 Sols, a mass of 0.124 Sols, and a diameter of 189,000 km. (I) a dense atmosphere bigworld, (II) a trace atmosphere iceworld, (III) a ringed small gas giant, and (IV) a vacuum worldlet form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(III) Esulim
(III) Esulim is designated the mainworld. It orbits Amulet at a mean distance of 0.71 AU (106 million km), it has an orbital period of 231 days 2 hours and a rotation period of 42.5 hours. The axial tilt is 9.5 degrees. Esulim has a diameter of 9,902 km, a density of 5.61 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.78 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 0.94 bar and a composition of 76% nitrogen, 23% oxygen, and 1% argon, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. Approximately 74% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.5m. Mean surface temperature: 15°C. The atmosphere is dynamic and powerful weather systems, driven by the star and the oceans, sweep across the globe. The climate is seasonal and weather patterns follow regular cycles during the local year.
Mainworld geography and topography
Total surface area: 308 million km², Land surface area: 80 million km², Water surface area: 228 million km².
Native lifeforms
Extensive native life.
History & Background (Dossier)
No information yet available.
World starport
Esulim has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World technology level
Esulim possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
World government
Esulim has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
