Eskandor is a poor, nonindustrial world.

  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • This world has few prospects for economic development.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Limon Subsector of Reft Sector in the Domain of Vland.

Mainworld Conditions

Eskandor is a fairly marginal world, with a thin but breathable atmosphere. There is little surface water, and much of it remains frozen for most of the year. Nights in particular are very cold due to the thin atmosphere.

History & Background (Dossier)

Starport

The port just barely qualifies as a Class-C installation, with minimal ground facilities including a control building, storage areas, a small workshop, underground fuel tanks and a support complex that contains little more than a couple of small hostels and some shops. These are used more by the local population than offworlders, as the port backs on to the planet's only major settlement. The port’s orbital component is little more than a mooring station for ships that cannot enter atmosphere, a small living area for staff and berths for the world’s two transfer shuttles.
