System data

The primary is Salan, an ordinary yellow sequence star. It has a luminosity of 1.102 Sols, a mass of 1.02 Sols and a diameter of 1.4 million km. Salan's inner system consists of (I, II) two small vacuum worlds, and (III) a thin atmosphere desert world. (IV) Erenim orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (V) a small vacuum world, (VI) a small gas giant, (VII) a large ringed gas giant, and (VIII, IX) two large exotic atmosphere worlds form the outer zone. Most of the worlds in the system retain satellites.

(IV) Erenim

(IV) Erenim Orbits Salan at 1.01AU, within the system's habitable zone.

Diameter 10900 km, average density, surface gravity 0.88 G. Nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere rated as dense, with a surface pressure of 1.75 bar. Oceans of liquid water covering 59% of the surface. Erenim retains two satellites.

Satellites:

Erenim retains two natural satellites, a pair of barren vacuum worlds named Carsen and Dolmen:

(IVa) Carsen (UWP H300000-0, orbiting at 11 Diameters/284,000 km)
(IVb) Dolman (UWP H200000-0, orbiting at 35 Diameters/284,000 km).

Mainworld Geography & Topography

Four rugged, mountainous continents, the largest covering much of the southern hemisphere and extending to the southern polar regions. Many large islands and archipelagos. Deep oceans.

Native Lifeforms

Extensive native life.

History & Background / Dossier

Erenim is a pleasant agricultural world and one of the original Seven Colonies.

World Starport

Erenim has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Technology Level

Erenim possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

World Government

Erenim has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

World Military

World Economy

Erenim's main export is Senn Powder, an expensive spice that induces a mild sense of euphoria. Senn Powder is derived from the stamen of tiny sharp-leafed Razor Orchids: hundreds of flowers will only produce a few grams of stamen. Vast, heavily guarded orchid farms dominate inhabited areas.
