Enan is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Enan has an Insidious Atmosphere which requires the use of a Hostile Environment Suit or Vacc Suit, but extreme conditions cause the corrosive effects to defeat any personal protective measures in a few hours. TL–10 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences very low temperatures.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Enan has 65-75% of its surface covered by a fluid other than water. Wilderness refueling is not possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

• This surface fluid may be ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids depending on the local temperature and environment.

Enan was claimed by the Vilani millennia ago and was eventually absorbed into the Ziru Sirka. It was nominally under the authority of the Rule of Man prior to the Long Night.

• It has ruins and remains on its surface dating to before the founding of the Ziru Sirka.

It serves as the regional capital of the Opposition Alliance.

It is a member of the Khuulu Main, an important local trade route.

• An eclectic mix of vessels, both human and Vargr, work their ways along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

The world is dominated by the activities of the Tukogan Trade Circuit (the TTC). It is a fractious trade association made up of disparate interests and groups, with links to many worlds and organizations.

Enan has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• The world is host to a Vargr Naval Base.

Enan has a population of 700,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

• -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
• -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
• -3700s onwards: waves of Vargr settle worlds across the region.
• -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man nominally administers the rimward worlds of the region. Conflicts escalate between Vargr and humans as the Vargr occupy former Ziru Sirka territory.
• -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
• -1658: the Sack of Gashikan, an atrocity known throughout the coreward parts of Charted Space.
• -1427: the Wolvesbane plague is released in Gashikan Sector, decimating Vargr populations.
• The Year 0: to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
• circa 26: the Empire of Varroerth is founded.
• circa 170: the various Ruler of Five precursor states begin a centuries-long war of dominance.

• circa 1040: the 17th Disjuncture is founded and rapidly brings neutral worlds under its banner, directly competing with the Ngath Confederation.
