Vargr Connections
Non-canon: Alpha Quadrant has been dominated by various Ikonaz governments since -1700, during the tail end of the Vargr Pillaging, and the Imperium has ruled its portion of the Empty Quarter since the mid-60s Imperial.
- However, the Hegemony of Lorean is a far younger government: before it took control of the Beta Quadrant, the region was dominated by small pocket empires centered around Ssilnthis, Flange & Justince (in Flange Subsector); Tsosoe & Zuethun (in Tsosoe Subsector); Managa & Cotan (in Cotan Subsector) and Nisaga (in Nisaga Subsector). Relations of these star nations with the Julian Protectorate were a turbulent affair before their absorption into the Hegemony in the 790s.

- 2. The Hegemony of Lorean dominated Beta Quadrant, and...
- 3. The Third Imperium ruled part of Delta Quadrant.

The Lesser Rift filled most of Delta Quadrant, and an arm of the Rift separated Imperial Space from:
Both the Rukadukaz Republic and the Hegemony of Lorean are members of the Julian Protectorate.
- Independent systems are lightly scattered on the edge of the Lesser Rift, and dominate the buffer zone between the Hegemony and the Republic. A small group of Imperial client states, led by Tokitre, also lie between these two powers.
