Eaerukazsung is a rich world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere and a balance of available surface water. The system supports a population in the 100's of millions, which makes it too urbanized to make an agricultural world. This is a temperate world, with a climate of average temperatures. It is a member of Ascendancy Pact in the Raelas Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

  • This system hosts a Pact Naval Base for support of military starships.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)

This solar system has two closely-orbiting Gas Giants named Green Eye and Blue Eye collectively termed “The Gate” since the two are never further than one astronomical unit from each in their revolution.

An abundance of mining is permitted by miners who apply for and purchase wildcatting licenses in the eight planetoid belts between the mainworld and Giants.

History & Background (Dossier)

Eaerukazsung is perhaps better pronounced by offworlders as (Yigh-ROO-kaz-sung). This Garden world is a respite for visitors with relative safety being one of its draws for a stopover. Landings are by local law limited to the Downport and the Naval Base, (though need and berthing is at a premium fee).

This world, when first colonized from Rimward worlds of Gvurrdon Sector, made sure to erect a Naval Base upon touchdown first before its then commander declared a conditional land rush across the globe to its colonists. Land grants were for the taking provided each settler agreed to declaring allegiance to the Ascendancy Pact polity, total disarmament aside from hunting and trapping weaponry and promises to capable to work the land claimed. Some claim-jumping was seen in this initial land grab, which hiked the Law rating to 9. Though many local Vargr still own their, (or their parents’) personal armors and uniforms from the colony ship, it did not stop the decline in average technology. Many settlements failed and Tech Levels dropped to 4 in just one generation, the pioneers properly entrenched into the world’s temperate ecosystem. Much of the remaining equipment and higher technology are now unwanted relics in second-hand markets at the Downport. Mining, fishing and other resource gathering stayed within the purview of the central government employing those newcomers without means or funds to stake territory. As the Ascendancy Pact grew past Eaerukazsung, vessels continued trade and paid well for the use of the Naval Base giving the world a seat in the Representatives despite its lower average Tech Level.

As the Population grows to Pre-High code, conditions are unlikely to rate the world an Industrial rating within a century of 1105. Yet, as a member world of the Ascendancy Pact, Eaerukazsung holds its own in the economy of the polity community.

  • Low Technology world featuring radio, plastics, post-Industrial Revolution era
  • Pre-High Population scattered across all subcontinents with towns, cities and the Downport’s Startown Capital connected by railroad systems run by law enforcement, military or planetary administration. Citizens may purchase transit for a modest fee after conferring with schedules.
  • Rich World, stable agrarian, ranching, mining and sub-standard refining allow for some trade to visiting offworlders.
  • Garden World, offering welcoming gravity, atmospheric, weather and relatively safe geology. Storms allow for a healthy water cycle feeding rivers off higher points of each subcontinent.
  • Average (C) Starport with barely an extraterritoriality zone; no Highport is present.
  • Charismatic Dictator enjoys overwhelming confidence of the citizens directs various Departments overseeing aspects of the planet population; no common contraband seems to feed any black market for long.
  • 0.6 surface gravity, larger than Mars but smaller than Earth
  • Standard Earthlike atmosphere with 1.1 average atmospheric pressure
  • Temperate global climates feature seasonal and tropical variations.
  • 80% hydrographic survey shows a few continents barely joined by a contiguous continental shelf and fragments of islands due to tectonic plate drift.
  • Hundreds of millions call Eaerukazsung home falling short of a High Population trade code, (less than present day Earth).
  • Law of 9 banning weapons, all drugs, off world data and free press, TL-3 items; offworlders are severely limited to the Downport; all psionics either an unknown or is feared and proscribed.
  • Naval Base erected on a separate continent from the Downport barely able to service visiting starships also under careful scrutiny and limited extraterritoriality

Outside the Downport and Startown, the entire chain of subcontinents continues its pioneering behaviors with settlers striking out from rail terminus towns towards the frontier horizon to select a plot of land to settle. Violence is mainly an urban occurrence involving melee weapons and Vargr Infighting quickly quelled by local sheriff and deputies permitted ranged weaponry of TL-4 or slightly better variable by population density and permitted by the central Government. Exports are transported by rail to the Downport and sold in the Startown or shipped to the greater Ascendancy Pact.
