Dusk Owl (Creature) Synopsis
These stealthy feathered avianoids are nocturnal, their primary prey being luminescent insects.
Despite the similar name, the Dusk Owl bears no relation, other than similarity, to the Terran Owl.
Dusk Owl (Creature) Physiology & Ecology
The down, feathers, and skin of the dusk owl are all virtually transparent and emit a soft light-grey glow. Their translucent skin and feathers make them slightly difficult to see during the day, especially as dusk owls keep out of direct sunlight. The luminescence makes the bird interesting to many breeds of insect.
