The Duni War was a brief regional conflict in Alpha Crucis between the Commonwealth of Gadjick and the Solomani Confederation.
History & Background (Dossier)
In 1086 the Commonwealth launched a surprise invasion of the disputed Duni (Alpha Crucis 3130) system in Galloway Subsector, quickly overwhelming the small Home Guard.
- In response the Confederation initiated Operation Black Swan, during which a single Confederation fleet was able to defeat the upstart Commonwealth force, destroying a naval base at Potena (Alpha Crucis 3129).
- The Commonwealth quickly capitulated and was forced to sign a humiliating peace treaty.
- Since the Duni War the Confederation has established new naval bases in Addison and Galloway subsectors to watch over Gadjick.
