History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The asteroid belt of this system is the location of military facilities under Human control; there is no population outside of these facilities. The system name is from a Gniivi language; Dreead'n polices the systems connecting Human worlds to the Gniivi Collective; this is an economically important chain of worlds, and Dreead'n ostensibly serves to protect all traders using them.
In 1121, Tukera Lines announced that it had completed negotiations with the Dreead'n and Nermiss systems regarding the construction, maintenance and protection of a deep-space refueling site at the sector hex, Hinterworlds 2321. With the addition of this deep-space refueling site, jump-2 convoys would be able to move across the Hinterworlds Sector between Spica and Delphi without passing through regions occupied by the Nullian League.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Dreead'n has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
90 permanent residents (this doesn't count the crew and staff of military facilities, drawn from many nearby Human systems).
World Government (G)[edit]
Dreead'n has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
Dreead'n has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Dreead'n possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
