History and Background

An agricultural paradise, near the Terra-Prime ideal, the world of Diagemi is home to over a million inhabitants. Originally settled by the Vilani during the latter period of the First Imperium, Diagemi is one of two breadbasket worlds in the Cotan Cluster, the largest cluster in the Beta Quadrant. The planet’s native wildlife and near-Terra conditions makes it a very popular destination for offworld tourism.

Diagemi is one of the most cheerful worlds of the Lorean Hegemony -- not that it takes a lot of cheer to surpass most Hegemonio systems. An agricultural paradise, the population was only lightly singed by the numerous wars that charred local space: even the Era of Horrors saw only a few mass graves and some terror raids, instead of cratered cities or razed continents. An originally Vilani system, Arab, East Indian, and later Arzula and even a few Damlaerite settlers have peaceably merged into more-or-less one ethnos, with the local religions having strong roots in the Bright Age. As they grew in wealth, a fair number of Irilitok Vargr settlers have also made their mark, but -- unusually for them -- they have kept their distance from the human settlements, instead purchasing the ’western’ region of a continent (in a temperate clime) as their own autonomous province under the local Vilani/Arabic monarchy.

In addition to a bounty of fruits, vegetables, meats, and spices streaming from the world to the tables of many nearby worlds, Diagemi is a center of tourism, with an abundance of native wildlife and Earth-like conditions. It is a favorite for both humans and Vargr across Beta Quadrant.
