Desdemona, originally known as Liriinan (Anglic: Liriinan), is a high-population world with one small moon located in Alderamin Subsector of the Solomani Rim. The system is a member of the Imperium.

During the First Imperium Desdemona was a rich if relative isolated Vilani world, home to a half-billion people. It was a huge market for Terran merchants, and developed a distinct independent streak.

Desdemona claims sovereignty over nearby Purdishi (Solomani Rim 0116).
