The De Gaulle class Light Carrier is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Light Carrier.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
This vessel was a expedient low cost conversion of a civilian ore carrier. The dispersed hull lent itself to rapid, and inexpensive modification. Delivering a single squadron of heavy bombers was the mission. To ensure they arrived on target a squadron of light mosquito fighters provided cover. The weapons were configured for point defense only, and the vessel had no offensive punch aside from its squadron of bombers. The small task forces it was assigned to, required several Close Escorts be provided to protect each pocket carrier.
