Date Conversion
Each of the Major Races of the Imperium use a different dating system. The following outlines year 0 in all calenders and their conversions.
Calenders
Solomani
The solomani have kept their dating system from pre-flight days. (This should be familiar to the reader).
Imperial
The Third Imperium also uses Solomani years, but the zero date is 4518 years in front, with the founding of the Imperium.
Vilani
The Vilani also count from the founding of the Empire Ziru Sirka. Each Vilani year is ~1.312 Solomani
Zhodani
Zhodani have a pre-empire dating system, marked from the beginning of the Psionic Games. Each Zhodani year is ~2.26 Solomani
Aslan
Aslan dating begins from the formation of the Tlaukhu. Each Aslan year is ~0.877 Solomani
K'Kree
The K'Kree dating system is also pre-flight. Each K'Kree year is ~1.2 Solomani
Vargr
Vargr have no accurate calendar, so dating is meaningless, however a Vargr "year" is ~1.03 Solomani
Droyne
The Droyne calander likely should start around -75,000 Imperial, however the Droyne don't keep good records either.
Hiver
Dating begins with the moving of the capital in 410 or 490 Imperial, however Hivers never use their own calander, preferring to use local times. A hiver year is either ~0.98 Solomani or ~0.49 Solomani.
