Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. History & Background (Dossier)
Nine in service. Designed and built at Dal Hallen for the Rimward Federation. They are posted in several systems to support fleet elements for coordinated defense of the Federation.
The Rimward Federation Navy uses the Dal Hallen class for limited logistical support of deployed troop units and to bring supplies to major combatants. A large number of variants exist, particularly with regard to the fuel tankage and cargo storage, allotted weapons systems, onboard electronics, and the fit out of internal spaces.
- These vessels are much sought after by freelance traders.
- Each crew member has their own private cabin, a rare luxury in the military. With double occupancy, up to 3 passengers can be carried.
