A Crustaceanoid is the typoid classification of creatures exhibiting characteristics similar to Terran crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimp, and barnacles. It is an overlapping classification with Arthropodoid and sometimes considered an esoteric subclassification of Insectoid.
Description (Specifications)
A crustaceanoid is distinguished by a number of characteristics:
- Segmented bodies consisting of two or more parts: typically a head section containing a mouth and the sensory organs and a body containing the major internal organs.
- An exoskeleton or a hard, shell-like covering on the outside of the body.
- Three or more pairs of jointed appendages referred to as legs. These are typically used for swimming or walking.
- Antennae, typically mounting sensory organs.

- The Pill Bug, native to vegetated terrain on Terra.
- The Zyroach, a marine creature native to Thalassa (Dagudashaag 2127)
