System Data

Corsh Subsystem

The primary is an unnamed ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 3.042 Sols, a mass of 1.248 Sols, and a diameter of 1.845 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, (II) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (III) a trace atmosphere worldlet, and (IV) Corsh, designated the mainworld. (V) a sparse stony planetoid belt orbits within the habitable zone. (VI) a ringed large gas giant, (VII) a large gas giant, and (VIII) a ringed small gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Red Main Sequence Subsystem

The companion is an unnamed ordinary red main sequence star that lies 2,320 AU from the primary. It has a luminosity of 0.0202 Sols, a mass of 0.3942 Sols, and a diameter of 604,000 km. (I) a dense stony planetoid belt, (II) a large gas giant, and (III) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data

(IV) Corsh

(IV) Corsh is designated the mainworld. It orbits the primary at a mean distance of 1.08 AU (161.6 million km), within the H– region of the inner system. It has an orbital period of 1 year 2 days and a rotation period of 46 hours. The axial tilt is 29 degrees. Corsh has a diameter of 15,797 km, a density of 6.07 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.36 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Dense, with a mean surface pressure of 2.11 bar and a composition of 80% nitrogen (N2), 19% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Corsh is a water world, with approximately 98.3% of the surface covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.9m. Mean surface temperature: 6°C. The atmosphere is very active and powerful weather systems driven by the star and the oceans surge across the globe. The climate is seasonal.

Satellite

Corsh retains a single natural satellite, a very thin atmosphere hospitable world named Pasado:

(IVa) Pasado (known UWP ?423???-?, orbiting at 13 Diameters/205,000 km)

Mainworld Geography and Topography

Total surface area: 784 million km², Water surface area: 771 million km², Land surface area: 13 million km².

Native Lifeforms

Corsh, the mainworld, lying within the H– region of the inner system, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

  • Pasado, Corsh's hot marginally hospitable moon has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of shelter and warmth. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.
