A Military Unit recognised by the Imperial Army.

Description (Specifications)

A unit sized between a Division and an Army.

A Corps is typically commanded by a Lieutenant General.

Corpss are routinely deployed by the Imperial Army for major planetary actions. The Imperial Marines never field Corps sized units.

History & Background (Dossier)

As the unit size one larger than a Division, this is a long-standing standard definition that has been around since pre-space days.

Corpss typically field a number of Battalions to be about 50 to 100 times as combat effective as a Battalion alone.
