History & Background (Dossier)
These scouts are designed and built by the Yimin Jiti, a state in the central-rimward portion of the Halcyon Sector. Built at Narit, the TL–11 craft are fitted with a model 3 computer adjacent to the bridge. The saucer hull is fully streamlined with scoops and on board fuel purification to allow wilderness ocean refueling. The ship has a tiny maneuver drive capable of only 1 G acceleration, and no agility. The ship is capable of jump 2, and carries enough internal fuel for two jumps. They are fitted with jump 2 drop tanks for increased range when crossing rifts zones. It carries a single triple beam laser turret. This high intensity laser battery and the computer drain the power from agility. There are two crew; a pilot and a gunner who share the equivalent of a stateroom. There are two lowberths for a frozen watch, wounded, prisoners, or other options. They deploy a 3 dton Narit Air Raft, as an interface vehicle when orbital port facilities and shuttle service are unavailable. The air raft fills the tiny vehicle/cargo bay.
