History & Background (Dossier)
Half the population clusters about the starport, while the remainder lives in settlements built atop every scrap of available rock. Ice-burrowing “submarines” are used to reach the liquid water far beneath the ice, and to harvest the life found around geothermal vents there. Chemicals are extracted from the vent deposits by deep-diving teams. Conditions are harsh, but the locals are skilled and hardworking, and enjoy a high standard of living.
Ice-covered Cogri disestablished its representational government shortly after the Collapse in an effort to attract more trade.
