Description (Specifications)
They serve Mooi & Belanis Heavy Haulage SA for private charters. Corporate executives and their noble friends often use these vessels for private excursions and business trips. They are encountered along Star Lanes within the Distant Fringe region. They often travel with mercenary escort vessels of a paramilitary nature. The vessel is a TL-11 design. The vessel is delivered armed with eight military grade triple turrets with full fire control.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
#. | Category | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. | Tonnage | The Codori Prime Luxury Liner is constructed using a lightly armored 800 dTon hull built in a partially streamlined close configuration. The hull is braced and reinforced to withstand the rigors of wilderness refueling with an electro-static discharge probe, filtered fuel scoops and a fuel refinery. Their 2G acceleration makes it necessary to select smaller gas giants for skimming. The has a generally cone-shaped configuration.
|
2. | Crew | The Passenger Liner requires 13 crew: pilot, navigator, 4 engineer (a chief and three mates), 3 stewards (bosun, purser and steward), 1 ship's doctor/science officer, and 3 gunner/stevedores. Several crew members are cross trained to operate the two 20 dton ship's launches, which double as life boats. |
3. | Performance | The vessel mounts a DeVoss-type jump-2 drive, a maneuver-2 drive, and a power plant 2, giving performance of jump-2 and 2G acceleration. The ship has no agility rating. The weapons and computer draw too much power, an emergency agility of 2, is possible if weapons are powered down for escape under the cover of defensive missile salvos with fragmentary barrage warheads. There is fuel tankage of 256 dTons, sufficient for a four week power plant endurance. They are configured with enough fuel for jump 2 with a jump 1 reserve and carry jump 2 drop tanks for extended range operations necessary in the remote areas of the Distant Fringe.
|
4. | Electronics | Adjacent to the bridge is a computer model/5 fib. There is a 90 ton main hold. There are 49 staterooms and 22 low berths. 13 Staterooms are single occupancy and are set aside for the ship’s crew. Some tonnage is set aside for small shops and boutiques, entertainment complexes, casinos, spas and gymnasiums, restaurants, cafes, and other similar amenities. Cargo capacity amounts to 90 dTons.

5. | Hardpoints | TBD |
6. | Armament | Berthing for three gunner/stevedores are included with the crew. There is a pair of triple pulse lasers organized as a single battery, a pair of triple missile turrets firing as a single battery and four triple sand caster turrets which operate as a single battery. |
7. | Defenses | TBD |
8. | Craft | The ship carries two 20 dTon Lifeboats in dedicated hangers. |
9. | Fuel Treatment | TBD |
10. | Cost | The basic cost of the vessel, without its complement of subcraft, is MCr446.594.

11. | Construction Time | TBD |
12. | Comments | TBD |
History & Background (Dossier)
The design is representative and a large number of variants exist, particularly with regard to the allotted weapons systems, onboard electronics, and the fit out of internal spaces.
