The Coalsack Nebula, also known as Caldwell 99, is the most prominent dark nebula in the nighttime sky of Terra.

Description (Specifications)

The Coalsack Nebula is located at a distance of approximately 180pc from Sol in the Terran-sky constellation Crux along a Trailing bearing at 300.7^o galactic longitude by -00.96^o south galactic latitude. It has an average radius of about 10pc as seen from the vantage point of Terra.
