Clan Arhiyao

Clan Arhiyao is a minor Aslan clan primarily residing in the trans-Rift territories of the Aslan Hierate. The earliest account of an Arhiyao landholder is in 1733 (-563 Imperial), when a warrior named Arhiyaoaiftlaiyhruuhru is recorded as having seized the western islands of a world in the Reaver's Deep Sector in a series of lightning raids. He captured a Human warship and used it as his flagship in the Border Wars, launching surprise attacks on Human-occupied worlds.

The clan's fortunes shifted when a prominent Arhiyao quarreled with his Hrasua lord over a point of honour. The Arhiyao in question and his followers hired a colony ship belonging to Clan Wahtoi and crossed the Great Rift -- accompanied by his new wife, a stolen female of the Hrasua line. The Hrasua have never forgotten nor forgiven this slight.

The clan capital is located on Uitasoayaw/Ranib (Trojan Reach 0840).
