The Ciri class Laboratory Ship is a TL–12 research starship.

Awarded to particularly deserving I'Sred*Ni Technicians for the continued research of a particular subject, the Ciri is a fairly standard example of a small research vessel. Constructed at TL–12, the ship displaces 400 tons. The hull is unarmoured and unstreamlined. Capable of Jump-2 and 1 g manoeuvre, the ship has no Agility points, but a generous overspill of power points for use in research.
