The Chacinti are a technologically sophisticated sophont species.

Description:

Chacinti: Minor Sophont Species. An anachroid bipedal life form.

Homeworld:

Haradin, a temperate garden world located in Darkshade Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.

Physiology:

Their hands have three fingers and two opposing thumbs. Their legs have four joints as well.

Bilateral HBS-T-AN-LL-N Exoskeleton

Their epidermis is covered in carapace with flexible areas exposed showing a wrinkly leathery skin. Their heads are slightly heart shaped with no nose or ears visible.

Their eyes are coal black and they don't have eye lids. They can see into the IR spectrum and they have excellent low light vision. They tend to wear tinted goggles in normal light.

They have a set of antennae protruding from their eyebrow area, between their eyes. These antennae are short, only 10 or 13 cm long, abd serve as their noses. Their olfactory senses rival terrestrial blood hounds.

They can sense pheromones which they use as markers and primitive communication. Their wrists have small scent glands like those of an ant.

They do not have any apparent ears but do have inner ears with good low frequency hearing but not so good med or high frequency.

They do not like sharp angles or very bright colors.

Chacinti have four arms with four joins, giving them inhuman movement capabilities.

Reproduction

They are asexual and when generating an egg, they do not produce chitinth or poison. Everything goes to making the new life.and they become ferocious eaters for two weeks .once enough proteins and building blocks are consumed the make the egg..it comes out with 1 life inside and they only lay eggs every 10 years.

They tend to their young until the age of 14, at that point they begin to live on their own.

They live to be as old as 190 yrs old and are not mature until their 50 birthday. And are not old until their 150th.

Typical lifespan is around 150 years.

Diet and Trophics

They are omnivore hunter scavengers.

They have a spider-like mouth with tearing mandibles and chewing mandibles along with a pair of venomous fangs.

They don't like cooked foods or sweets, but love broths and gravy

Chitin

They do not defecate or excrete anything other than chatinith ..it comes out as a thick snot like substance from their mouths..regurgitated from an organ that builds up 2kg a day of this substance..once it hits oxygen outside the body it begins to rapidly dry and cure to become steel strength. It can be shaped into simple tools or weapons..it can be formed into armor, shields,or even used for construction or patchwork..but because it is only produced 2kg at a time making some things take time.

Their chatinth secretions can be used for climbing on sluck or vertical surfaces for a short time..but must be cleaned off before it dries in 18 to 20 minutes.
