The Chacinti are a technologically sophisticated sophont species.
- They are a Minor Non-Human Race with a semi-humanoid appearance.
Description:
Chacinti: Minor Sophont Species. An anachroid bipedal life form.
Homeworld:
Haradin, a temperate garden world located in Darkshade Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
Physiology:
Their hands have three fingers and two opposing thumbs. Their legs have four joints as well.
Bilateral HBS-T-AN-LL-N Exoskeleton
Their epidermis is covered in carapace with flexible areas exposed showing a wrinkly leathery skin. Their heads are slightly heart shaped with no nose or ears visible.
Senses
- Energy: V
- Vibration: H
- Volatiles: S
- Matter: T
- Fields: A
- Aura: P
Their eyes are coal black and they don't have eye lids. They can see into the IR spectrum and they have excellent low light vision. They tend to wear tinted goggles in normal light.
They have a set of antennae protruding from their eyebrow area, between their eyes. These antennae are short, only 10 or 13 cm long, abd serve as their noses. Their olfactory senses rival terrestrial blood hounds.
They can sense pheromones which they use as markers and primitive communication. Their wrists have small scent glands like those of an ant.
They do not have any apparent ears but do have inner ears with good low frequency hearing but not so good med or high frequency.
They do not like sharp angles or very bright colors.
Characteristics
A baseline species has the following characteristic ranges:
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Endurance
- Intelligence
- Education
- Social
They get a +1 to dex and a -1 soc. Their carapace bestows a + 1 protection overall..and their chitinth armor provides a +4 protection.
Aptitudes:
They love to climb and are swift and agile climbers
Their race has natural skills of stealth, recon, and either athletics dex or end specializations.
Movement
Chacinti have four arms with four joins, giving them inhuman movement capabilities.
Reproduction
They are asexual and when generating an egg, they do not produce chitinth or poison. Everything goes to making the new life.and they become ferocious eaters for two weeks .once enough proteins and building blocks are consumed the make the egg..it comes out with 1 life inside and they only lay eggs every 10 years.
Life Stages
- 0 Infant: 2 years.

- 3 Young adult: 12 years.
- 4 Adult: 20 years.
- 5 Peak: 12 years.
- Physical aging begins at age 58
- 6 Midlife: 16 years.
- 7 Senior: 20 years.

It can be shaped into simple tools or weapons..it can be formed into armor, shields,or even used for construction or patchwork..but because it is only produced 2kg at a time making some things take time.
Their chatinth secretions can be used for climbing on sluck or vertical surfaces for a short time..but must be cleaned off before it dries in 18 to 20 minutes.

Primal Drives
Species psychology is driven by factors common to many sophonts:
- Acquisition (stemming from the need to gather adequate nutrition),
- Preservation (derived from the need to continue their personal existence), and
- Perpetuation (the urge to continue the species).
Behaviours
A number of other factors are significant in the mental processes of the species:
Major Drives
- They tend to be solitary
- They are friendly to most.

Language
They don't posses vocal chords so they speak with a series of clicks, screeches and grinding sounds made with their mouth pieces. This aural communication is concurrent with hand signs combined with pheromones from their wrists. Their spoken language gives a primitive translation threw translators.
