Cauldron Cluster

The Cauldron Cluster is a large cluster of stars lying within the Where The Stars End region of the Empty Stars.

Details / Specifications

The Cauldron Cluster is a large grouping of stars centered on Kataran Sector and Cauldron Sector. It also covers parts of Bourne Sector, Course Sector, Hollow Sector, Shandara Sector, Toller Sector, and Valiance Sector. It is bounded by the Moat Rifts to spinward, the Basilisk Rift to coreward, Fools Rift to trailing, and the Great Void to rimward.

It is dominated by a reflection nebula called The Cauldron, lying close to the center of Cauldron Sector.

History

The positions and types of the stars that make up the Cauldron Cluster have been cataloged as part of the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program.

Although its exact route is unknown, the Last Armada certainly travelled through the Cauldron Cluster as it fled the destruction of Terra and the pursuing Vilani.

The University of Tal Varisa is actively pursuing exploration into the systems of the Cluster.
