The Brilliant class Scout is a fairly common TL–11 exploration and scouting starship used by the Enlightened.

Description

It is an streamlined, saucer fitted with fuel scoops for ocean refueling. They carry enough fuel, internally for a single Jump-2, with a Jump-2 reserve for strategic withdrawal. They can carry drop tanks with an additional Jump-2 as needed. They are fitted with a Model/5 fib ship computer. Despite the massive drives and power plant fitted, which accounts for most of their construction cost, they have some power left over for 2-Agility. They are capable of 4Gs of acceleration and the computer's power demands reduces the agility.

History & Background

This design is a product of the TL–11 orbital boatyards of Blass (Halcyon 1333), and represent one of the minor combatants of their fleet. This design serves with the Enlightened fleet. They are used for fleet communication among the worlds of the Enlightened. In Service: 20.
