A Military Unit recognised by the Imperial Army.

Description (Specifications)

A unit sized between a Regiment and a Division.

A Brigade is typically commanded by a Brigadier General.

Brigades are routinely deployed by the Imperial Army for planetary actions but the largest standard unit for deployment by the Imperial Marines on planet.

History & Background (Dossier)

As the unit size one larger than a Regiment, this is a long-standing standard definition that has been around since pre-space days.

Brigades typically field a number of Battalions to be about 10 times as combat effective as a Battalion alone.
