History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Only the worlds of the Abbot Spur, lying on the rimward border of the Sector, are settled. Much of Bourne Sector is partially explored wilderness. What is known of the distant coreward parts of the Sector derives from the studies of the Jannasta Expedition of the mid-55th century.

Historical Eras[edit]

Major Historical Events[edit]

Some of the important historical events that have affected Bourne Sector include:

Politics & Diplomacy (Interstellar Relations)[edit]

No polities exist within Bourne Sector. If they had to pick a side, the denizens of the sector would probably come out in favour of the Firstworlds.

Demographics[edit]

Bourne Sector has a known population of approximately 810,000 sophonts. Significant populations of the following sophont species are found within its borders:

  • Humaniti (Human races)
    • Solomani (Major Race): approximately 800,000 (98.7% of the population), descended from human refugees fleeing the Destruction of Terra. They refer to themselves as Terrans. They are entirely concentrated in the rimward part of the sector.

Native Sophonts (NILs)[edit]

No native sophont species are known to exist within Bourne Sector. There may be unknown native sophonts among its many unnamed and unexplored systems.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are among the most commonly spoken within Bourne sector:

Capital[edit]

Yazon, an agricultural garden world on the very rimward edge of the sector.

Interstellar Relations[edit]

No polities currently exist within (or make a claim on any part of) Bourne Sector.

Trade Routes (Physical & Socioeconomic Astrography)[edit]

  • Basilisk's Eye (1723 Tarchon Sector). The extremely luminous white supergiant star, lying around 80 parsecs to coreward-trailing, can be clearly seen from almost all of the worlds lying within Bourne Sector. A few systems lying in the central-rimward part of the sector have their view of the Basilisk's Eye blocked by the Bourne Cloud.
  • Demon's Eye (1621 Far Home Sector). The intensely luminous blue supergiant star, lying around 25 parsecs to spinward-rimward, can be clearly seen from all of the worlds lying within Bourne Sector.
