Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Border Prowler class Provincial Cruisers are heavily armed warships designed for multiple missions.

Description (Specifications)

The normal configuration is Jump-4 capable with 200.0 tons of cargo. Removing the demountable fuel tanks reduces the range to Jump-3, but increases cargo capacity to 300 tons. The demountable tanks are mounted as two tanks, one with 46 tons of fuel, the other with 49 tons. The ship is equipped with fuel scoops and a fuel purifier.

A special module was built which fits in the cargo bay and provides staterooms and life support for 100 troops in middle passage. A low passage module was also built which provided for 250 men in low passage, 50 tons of equipment, and staterooms for 10 command personnel. A third module which provides passage for 20 troops, 20 tons of equipment, and semi-external carriage of a pair of 40-ton Attack Shuttles.

Usual armament on the ship is a Factor-2 Nuclear Damper projector, one triple sandcaster turret, four triple laser turrets organized into two batteries, two double ]]fusion gun]] turrets organized as one battery, one PA Barbette, and two triple missile launcher turrets organized as one battery.
