A minor monotheistic religion within the Empty Quarter Sector.

Description (Specifications)

The religion focuses on the unity of God, religion, and mankind -- and later, sophontdom rather than mankind specifically.

History & Background (Dossier)

Originated on Terra in -2677, this (barely) pre-spaceflight religion is derived from Shi’a Islam. The precepts of the unity of God, religion, and mankind were expanded during the Rule of Man to include unity among sophonts. The religion is especially important on Pramas (Empty Quarter 2504), and is spreading among starfaring humaniti within Flange and Tsosoe subsectors, transmitted by believing Travellers and starship crews. It has become customary for visiting Travellers to be invited to a Study Circle at least once during their stay on a world. It is the fastest growing religion in the Empty Quarter (excluding Vargr-dominated Alpha Quadrant), but has a long way to go before gaining the numbers needed to influence policy in the Lorean Hegemony.
