The North Umber B-46 class Attack Torpedo Boat is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and an System Defense Boat.
Description (Specifications)
Hendricks' Hullwerks of North Umber, on the planet of Hanlon (B624776-A) was contracted by the Central Treaty Defense Committee, to build a 300 ton warship. As a class of System Defense Boat, their design won the bid for a prototype and was awarded an order for seven production models. They are loaded in pairs on the four Euphrates Rio class Fleet Tenders. The TL–10 military design was required to resist ground fire and be capable of dual environment combat within the atmospheres of gas giants, terrestrial planets and in space for the fleet requirements of the Jurisdiction of Nadon. The military advisers were impressed with its ability to carry and deploy a squad of 12 marines for orbital insertion missions with dual drop capsule launchers and space for 10 addition capsules ready. The best armor was applied to the streamlined needle/wedge configuration hull. The fuel scoops mean that it can help skim fuel to replenish its carrier. It carries the advanced PDE brand model 4 fib computer to provide excellent fire control capabilities, with a powerful ECM suite. This was due to a fortuitous business partnership between Hendricks and the CEO of Premium Dynamics Electronics, an aggressive manufacturer and marketing force within the borders of the Jurisdiction. They also provide the guidance packages for the ship's homing and target recognition interceptor missile systems.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

History & Background (Dossier)
Operational History: Fleet procurement complains that these boats are over priced for their size. The web of subcontractors and the tight labor market in the electronic sectors of the Hanlon economy, do tend to slow delivery of these boats. The hulls and drives stand ready, waiting weeks for the black boxes to arrive, and to be tested and burned in, with full integration. The newer PDE fiber networks help shed the brand's notorious reputation for sensitivity in EMP situations. Crews like the resilience of the craft and will forgo the use of the lasers to boost the emergency agility in evasive combat.
