- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to incrementally rise barring outside forces.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by indigenous Sophonts located in the Xelan Subsector of Far Home Sector.
- Nearly 100% of the population is composed of Jellyfish.
- Less than 10% of the population is composed of baseline humans and other non-human sophonts.

System Data
Sacrent-Axasorsa System
The primary is Sacrent, an ordinary yellow-white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 2.126 Sols, a mass of 1.144 Sols, and a diameter of 1.639 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a trace atmosphere inner world, (II) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (III) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world. (IV) Axasorsa orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (V) a dense stony planetoid belt, (VI) a ringed very large gas giant, and (VII) a large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Lisio Subsystem
The companion is Lisio, a dim red subdwarf star that lies approximately 4,100 AU from Sacrent. It has a luminosity of 0.00054 Sols, a mass of 0.07 Sols, and a diameter of 91,500 km. (I) a trace atmosphere iceworld, and (II) a small gas giant form the outer system. Only the gas giant retains satellites.
Mainworld Data
(IV) Axasorsa
(IV) Axasorsa is designated the mainworld. It orbits Sacrent at a mean distance of 1.1 AU (164.6 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 1 year 29 days and a rotation period of 28.5 hours. The axial tilt is 17 degrees. Axasorsa has a diameter of 10,384 km, a density of 6.28 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.93 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 1.48 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 22% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 73% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.3m. Mean surface temperature: 23°C. The climate is Temperate-Warm and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is dynamic and powerful weather systems driven by the star and the ocean sweep across the globe.
Satellite
Axasorsa retains a single natural satellite, a vacuum worldlet named Vaber:
- (IVa) Vaber (UWP Y100000-0, orbiting at 20 Diameters/210,000 km)
System Importance (Ix)
No information yet available.
Mainworld Size (S)
This world is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
This world has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
This world has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography & Topography
Total surface area: 339 million km², Water surface area: 247 million km², Land surface area: 92 million km². There are small polar ice caps.

Native Lifeforms
Sacrent-Axasorsa System
The hot marginally hospitable world lying in orbital position (III) (within the H– region of the inner system) has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of shelter and moisture. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.
Axasorsa, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
No other world in the system is known to have native life.
Lisio Subsystem
No world in the subsystem is known to have native life.
History & Background (Dossier)
Notes: The mainworld of the system is also known as "Sorsa's World". It's current (and widely accepted) name – Axasorsa – is almost certainly a result of poor data management. The name appears to refer to Lieutenant Axel Sorsa, the commander of the Range Valentine, a Third Confederation-era survey vessel known to have been operating in the area during the 37th century. Records from the time indicate the chief surveyor within the system to have been one "Sorsa's World".
World Starport (Sp)
Axasorsa has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)
This world has a population of 1,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Demographics
Population 1,150,000,000
- Humaniti (Human races)
- Solomani (Major Race): 2.6 million (less than 0.01% of the population), descended from immigrants from all across the Distant Fringe. They refer to themselves as Terrans.
- Native Non-Human Races:
World Government (G)
Axasorsa has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Law Level (L)
This world has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)
Axasorsa possesses a Technology Level of TL–3.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Printing press, the mechanical telegraph, and the first audio recordings.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Coal or other simple hydrocarbon fuels and early steam engines.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bicycles and early steam coaches with advanced roadways.
- Water: Advanced sailing and early steam engine ships.
- Air: The earliest hot air balloons.
World Military
Each individual Jellyfish community maintains a force of Defenders, gathered as necessary and proportionate to the threat that is faced.
- Human settlement: Dryland Yeomanry, 105,000 personnel equipped to TL 7 standards.
World Economy (Ex)
- Resources: B (Abundant)
- Labor: 8 (Hundreds of millions)
- Infrastructure: 6 (Limited)
- Efficiency: −2 (Fair)

Urbanization
The continents are largely virgin wilderness, but the oceans – particularly the benthic zones along equatorial coastlines – are extensively developed. They are divided into ancestral territories held by communities of Jellyfish.
World Infrastructure
The surface starport facilities lie in a desert region on a northern tropical subcontinental land mass named Genthini. Dryland (population 1.7 million) is the major human community and lies a few tens of kilometers away. Marshport (population 900,000), lying on Genthini's southern coast, is a major submersible port and trading center, and is the main point of contact between humans and Jellyfish. Dryland, Marshport and the starport facilities are linked by efficient transport networks and have a substantially better degree of technological advancement than the rest of Axasorsa, being rated as TL-7.
- A large Hopper hive lies on the outskirts of Dryland.
World Culture (Cx)
- Homogeneity: 8 (Discordant)
- Acceptance: 9 (Friendly)
- Strangeness: 7 (Confusing)
- Symbols: 7 (Somewhat concrete)
