Awards are those items granted to a character in the light of some special achievement

Description (Specifications)[edit]
An Award is some recognition granted to a character as a result of a special achievement. These may be granted as a result of some military action (see Decoration) and may be granted by Armed Forces or Civil organisations of various types - Imperial or otherwise.
Awards include membership of various societies (e.g. The Travellers' Aid Society), Educational Certificates (e.g. Degrees and Doctorates) or Tenure (e.g. Professorships). It may include Commissions in various armed forces, Medals for injury or long service or outstanding performance. Some civil institutions will grant special privileges for the character's actions. Scientists may have papers published and cited.
Awards may bring additional benefits, or obligations. Characters with Long Service awards may find that they have bonuses when looking for contacts in their service arm. Those with Criminal Records may find they find certain classes of job impossible to access. Those with published papers may be recognised by others in their field.
