Avionics encompass and integrate a variety on onboard systems.
- It is a kind of Ship Equipment.
Description / Specifications
Avionics are the electronic systems used in spacecraft, aircraft, and other aerial vehicles. Avionics packages link, coordinate and manage the vessels communications, sensors, navigation, displays and data.
- The integrated nature of avionics allows rapid reactions and increased performance.
- Avionics are similar to Multiplexers in their function.
Different avionics configurations are noted:
- Flight avionics
- Terrain-following avionics
History & Background / Dossier
Avionics permit rapid Nap-of-surface (NOS) flight, enabling the craft to perform complex maneuvers at relatively high speeds at extremely low altitudes.
