A Military Unit recognised by the Imperial Army.

Description (Specifications)

A unit sized created to command multiple Armies.

An Army Group is typically commanded by a Field Marshal.

Army Groups are created on an ad-hoc basis by the Imperial Army when they field multiple Army sized units on a single world.

History & Background (Dossier)

As the unit size one larger than an Army, this is a long-standing standard definition that has been around since pre-space days.

The Imperial Army deployed six separate Army Groups on Terra for the Siege of Terra but this was unusual.
