Arla Un is an icy, non-agricultural and preindustrial world, whose surface is ice-capped and with nearly all of its water frozen.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It is a world working toward being an industrial powerhouse but lacks an adequate workforce to do so. It must now import many of its manufactured and high tech goods.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Sanches Subsector of Core Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
- This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
Description (Planetology)
Arla Un has been subjected to multiple large impacts that stripped away much of its lithosphere and crust, leaving the metal-rich mantle exposed.

Mainworld Topography and Geography
An oceanic slurry of water, tar and sulphuric acid moves along longitudinal cracks and canyons, as well as through deep veins under the surface. A high degree of volcanic and tectonic activity results in an ever-changing geography with crumbling hills and mountains.
History & Background (Dossier)
Starport
Arla Un has two Class-B downports emplaced in mobile cities, one on tracks and the other on a gravitic platform.
Urbanization
There are three city types:
- Underground cities have been placed in relatively stable pockets, far away from volcanism and underground acid oceans.
- Surface ‘cities’ are wheeled or tracked platforms that slowly rove around the planet.
- Gravitic habitations float close to the surface to avoid direct exposure to the powerful rays of Kir Aikhalingas.
Surface and gravitic cities use a combination of imagery and data collected by rad-shielded satellites and heat-shielded rovers and drones to guarantee their safe transit around the world.
