Ardell is a vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Parsalax Subsector of Extent Sector.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

System Data[edit]

The primary is an unnamed dim red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0025 Sols, a mass of 0.244 Sols, and a diameter of 334,000 km. (I) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (II) Ardell, designated the mainworld, (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (IV) a large gas giant, (V) a ringed small gas giant, and (VI) a vacuum worldlet form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(II) Ardell[edit]

(II) Ardell is designated the mainworld. It orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.43 AU (64.3 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 208 days 12 hours and a rotation period of 15.5 hours. The axial tilt is 7 degrees. Ardell has a diameter of 4,493 km, a density of 3.77 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.24 G. The world is geologically inert. Its atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -95°C.

Satellites[edit]

Ardell retains two natural satellites, a tiny vacuum worldlet named Pos and a cratered ice-capped vacuum worldlet named Gulush:

(IIa) Pos (known UWP ?S00???-?, orbiting at 7 Diameters/31,000 km)
(IIb) Gulush (known UWP ?101???-?, orbiting at 35 Diameters/115,000 km)

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

Total surface area: 64 million km².

Native Lifeforms[edit]

No world in the Ardell system is known to have native life.
