Antihistamines, first created at TL-6, are drugs or other compounds that inhibit the physiological effects of allergens on the body. Antihistamines have drawbacks: they may not be effective against specific allergens within an environment, and they may cause drowsiness, which can present serious hazards if operating vehicles or heavy equipment. Antihistamines have a cost of Cr50 per dose. They are typically taken once per day or immediately upon exposure to allergens.
Antihistamines may reduce the hazards presented by certain types of Tainted Atmospheres. In the case of exposure to a deadly allergen, an Autojector may be used to administer a powerful dose of adrenaline.
