Description (Specifications)

Anesthetics, first created at TL-5, are substances that induce insensitivity to sensation. They completely block feelings of pain, pressure and touch, as opposed to an analgesic, which specifically blocks pain. A wide variety of substances are used as anesthetics. Anesthetics have a cost of Cr50 per administration.

History & Background (Dossier)

A local anesthetic can completely deaden a particular body part, such as a tooth or a limb. A general anesthetic will render the patient unconscious and physically insensitive.

An overdose of anesthetics will stop vital functions such as breathing and the heart, resulting in death.
