An Analgesic is a pharmaceutical drug.
Description (Specifications)
Analgesics, first created at TL-6, are substances that minimize sensitivity to pain. They alleviate symptoms (as opposed to anesthetics, which completely block sensation), and are far more effective than painkillers. A wide variety of substances are used as analgesics and many commercial brands contain additional ingredients (such as caffeine) to improve their efficacy. Analgesics have a cost of Cr10 per dose.

Analgesics may be extremely addictive.
An overdose of anesthetics will damage the function of internal organs, particularly the liver. A sufficiently large dose may result in liver failure and death.
