Like much of the Vargr Extents, Amdukan Sector has been a battleground between competing Vargr and Human civilizations.

Meta-History & Background

Amdukan sector was designed by Michael R. Mikesh.

Description (Specifications)

This sector is an ancient one and many of the Vargr colonies here appear to predate interstellar spaceflight on Lair. Many suppose that the Ancients may have been involved. The Hhkar, another ancient civilization also appear to have had a long history in the area.

History & Background (Dossier)

Like so much of the Vargr Extents, the history of Amdukan is one of perpetual conflict amongst the Vargr, themselves, and practically every one else. The Hhkar have been a major influence in the area for a number of millennia as well. Hhkar history mirrors that of the Vargr, internecine civil wars and major societal disruption. One of the many mysteries of the region is the anomalous relationship between the Hhkar and the Droyne. Clearly the two species know of each other, but neither is divulging secrets.

Politics & Diplomacy (Interstellar Relations)

Between the many quarreling factions of the Vargr Extents, intrapolitical conflict has been the norm. It is the hope of many that the Julian Protectorate will help to unify the region and bring about a lasting peace, the fabled Pax Vargrisia.
