Meta-History & Background
Alpha Crucis Sector was originally designed by Marc W. Miller and appears in the Classic Traveller Atlas of the Imperium (GDW, 1984).
- It was further refined by David Pulver and appears in Alien Module 5: Solomani (Mongoose Publishing, 2012).
- In 1984, Atlas of the Imperium was published.
- In 1986, Hivers (Alien Module) was published.
- In 1990, Alien - Vilani & Vargr was published.
- In 1991, Alien - Solomani & Aslan was published.
- In 2012, Mongoose Traveller: Solomani, also known as Alien Module 5: Solomani, was published.
- In 2012, Mongoose Traveller: Alpha Crucis Sector was published.
- As of Fall 2016, all systems have been programmed into the Traveller RPG wiki but still require further detailing.

- The Solomani consider the worlds claimed by the Imperium to have governments in exile.
- Some of them actually do have leaders who were displaced by the Imperium and still claim to have legal authority for their respective worlds.
- The total population of the sector is a little over 1,021 billion.
Prior to the Solomani Rim War, the area was once a battleground between the Terran Confederation and the Ziru Sirka during the Interstellar Wars. There are still remnants of those millenia old battles found in Alpha Crucis space.
