Aeradh is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Julian Protectorate in the Tsosoe Subsector of Empty Quarter Sector and in the Hegemony of Lorean. 100% of the world's population is the Major Race Vargr.

History and Background

Another Irilitok settlement, Aeradh is closely tied to the Star Legion base - and Julian Protectorate bureaucracies - on nearby Kharo (Empty Quarter 2708). Kharo is classified as a ‘rich’ world in Traveller terminology, and it does have a larger population. But the world has a weak gravitational field and a tainted atmosphere as well, so it is not as healthy for humans to reside on long-term. The Vargr colonists of Aeradh try to deal with the Julian government whenever possible, rather than with the Hegemony of Lorean directly. But sometimes, they have no choice but to face the Cold Ones all by themselves...
