Its primary mission is watching out for Vargr incursions; this squadron is manned exclusively by Imperial Vargr. Incidents between the 49th and probing ships from the Dzarrgh Federate have created a particular rivalry between the two. The 49th is known for especially high morale and takes pride in the number in their ranks knighted into the Order of Gvadakoung.
